Re: carbra
Don't know about fitting a car bra with a nudge, but I've seen a full-on car bra that covers the whole front section of the exy and has those transparent cut-out for the head-lights.
I had a photo of it and it was of a Mexican exy, but I can't find the photo now.
I've asked about it ages ago and no one could tell me where to get it from and I could not find it on the net either.
Would have the perfect solution for off-road and long highway trips.
I'll see if I can find the photo again.
EDIT: Just found a very similar photo of a Honda HRV fitted with one of these bras and contacted the company that makes them in Melbourne to see if they can custom design one for the exy

Re: carbra
OK, got a reply from CARBRA in Melbourne and they have confirmed that they have a car-bra to suit our exy both with and without a factory nudge.
Price is $407 delivered anywhere in Australia.
They're now looking into making one to suit the type of nudge I have
I hope this info. helps.

Re: carbra
Yes, am in the market for one, but not for that much it's pretty expensive, considering other car-bras overseas are selling for around $100US (not for the exy though)
Not sure about rubbing the paintwork, as I've never had this car-bra before, but the above manufacturer claims the following:
quote:
Our Car-Bra's are designed to protect the front section of your vehicle from damage, by stone chips, mud, tar, bugs, etc. A special water-resistant durable vinyl with soft backed felt has been developed to provide perfect protection.
I presume this would lessen the chance of paint rub but in any case, I wouldn't leave this bra for extended period of times.
You can email them your specs and they'll respond. They told me it will fit an exy with the standard nudge bar and I guess they have taken into account the standard driving lights, so you better check about the 170's and send them a pic of your exy just to make sure.

Re: carbra
I had a factory carbra fitted to my Jeep and at certain speeds the wind could get under it and make it flap a bit which didn't help the paintwsork. I also had a couple of occasions where stuff got stuck between it and the bodywork.
Mind you, the ones that are being suggested might be okay - you'd have to fit one to know, I guess.

Re: carbra
That looks very good indeed.
The only problem I see is that it may not fit an xtrail with a nudge bar attached.
