Car cover for x-trail

Hey all - just wondering if anyone has bought a car cover for their exy - if so, can you let me know what you got and if its good or not? Reason being, I have just moved into a newly built house and have no carport or shed yet, and am tired of spending loving hours on the beast and it getting covered in shite the next day emoticon
Car covers ive seen so far range from $40 to $250 but im not sure what you get for your extra bucks...

On a side note - exy got bashed by some retard in a bilo carpark the other day, who took off. Luckily a bystander got the rego so Ive reported the whole lot to the cops, but if they dont come up with the drivers details Im looking at paying an excess and getting a chunk off my no claims bonus...
Needless to say Im pretty unhappy about it all. Any similar experiences? I think I can track the owner through his rego but its probably illegal - even if I did get the owners details what could I do with them without arousing suspicion?

Re: Car cover for x-trail

Hi Joe,

I got my car cover from Autobarn for $95 and it's the AUTOTECNICA one is size 4WD Medium.

Fits the exy perfectly (even with the spoiler and roof racks)

It has some ventilation points to stop moisture build-up and it's waterproof.

I have only used mine 3-4 times, as am too lazy to cover the exy emoticon

Sorry to hear about the little accident, but there isn't much you can do without the insurance company tracking the other driver down.

I'll be moving this post to the FAQ section of the forum.

Nah, it's good to have it as back-up and handy. BTW K-mart also sells them for around the same price, but they didn't have the size I wanted.

I saw these in K-mart last week if I remember rightly they were $59. I didnt buy it bucause I thought it was to dear for a plactic cover. however if you've seen them for $250, $59 seems a steal....

$59 is for the sedan ones I think emoticon The 4WD ones were about $80something from memory.

And it's not plastic, it's a nice and soft water-proof material, so it's worth the investment.

Plastic ones get cracked over time when parked under the sun.
