Re: Alarm Upgrade Question

I'm sure he can, given that you pay for the airfare emoticon lol

Honestly I think you guy can install it yourself, I was watching him while he was doing the installation. Not that difficult though, the difficult part is the wiring connection, I can copy his installation diagram for the T31 (same for the T30 I think) if you want. The P485 costs around $100 to buy I was told.

Re: Alarm Upgrade Question

emoticon I am considering getting a Dynamco 485 Alarm fitted while in Melbourne this month, these seem to be one of the better alarms available. I will be staying at Safety Beach around the bay, can anyone recommend a car alarm firm in that area.

Cheers emoticon David

Re: Alarm Upgrade Question

I will be upgrading the alarm with a system that I found on the net that even closes the sunroof and windows when activated.

Should have it installed by June 2010 if all goes well!

Re: Alarm Upgrade Question

Same as the T31 but you can get alarms which use the current factory control to operate the new alarm!

Some T31's (the diesel top of the range I believe) come with factory fitted alarm.

I'm aware alarms can be setup to lock/unlock doors using the factory lock solenoids, but wasn't aware they could still use the factory remote... Which alarms allow this feature? I've been out-of-the-loop for car audio and electronics for too long to know what the latest is... The feature you mention is probably a good idea for people like me with factory remotes where the printing on the buttons is all worn off, and remote battery probably about to go flat emoticon
