Thanks Cesar, now I know where to drill and position the LED, I'll start shopping for the LED and resistor. Looks like this will be my weekend project.

And then, there was RFL Dash Light! LOL emoticon

Ok guys, just finished installing the RFL LED dash indicator (series I) and the result is awesome.

Took me a while to work out the polarities, but at the end it worked.

I chose a red LED to match the bright red colour of the rear fog light.

Re: Rear Fog Light DIY Installation (Methods 1 & 2 and 3)

This weekend I have fitted both front & rear fog lights to the Exy.
I managed to get hold of four RV lights from the good old USA for about $15 each. I had to slice off about 3mm from each end & modify the opening in the bumper bar to suit.
I used method 3 for connections with a Narva relay in the engine bay relay box ($[sign in to see URL] from Auto Pro)& a switch in the drivers side switch panel.
The switch turns the RFL on/off when the front foglight is switched & I get the orange RFL indicator in the instrument panel.
So for a relay, switch, light, cable & a few connectors, maybe $35 - Sweet!

If anyone would like a cheap RFL, I have 3 of the RV lights left.

Here is the installed light all lit up

Re: Rear Fog Light DIY Installation (Methods 1 & 2 and 3)

Hi Guys,

Here comes another entry into RFL club emoticon

O boy did I said I'm proud of myself now. emoticon

Thanks Jalal and everyone for their valuable input in making this DIY so easy. (Not fussed but Jalal do you know why small light on switch doesn't work when RFL is ON)

Also Jalal, I didn't cut the brown connector where RFL goes instead was able to use the same one. Just slice the one of the guide on that existing brown connector and fits smoothly.

Bash plate next!!! emoticon

Good stuff Harish, mate you gonna become a professional soon and write DIY Guides for us LOL emoticon

I'd say that you're missing power to the LED in the switch, as it the LED in it needs power to operate.
