Jalal,
Thanks SO much for [sign in to see URL] I gather there were no numbers on it. You know Nissan, they have proved that they know stuff all about Nissans.
But I am appreciative of you doing this.

 Guys,
Just a word of warning if you intend to DIY as discussed by Ceasar, the relay you are after (as thoughtfully located by Jalal and Noel), is $80 from Nissan. Ouch !!!

Ceasar,
No mate, haven't got around to the led installation yet. Talk about bright. Love it and the instructions made it so easy. I did get confused with the green wire (as there were 3 of them), but I guessed correctly. Again, thanks mate.

Re: Rear Fog Light DIY Installation (Method 3)

METHOD #3

Hi Guys,

I have just received this 3rd method of installing the RFL from Brad (who purchased the RFL through from me) and he has detailed a very easy and neat way for the RFL installation and the most important aspect of it is the dash illumination of the RFL indicator using the factory RFL indicator which we already have in place emoticon

Here is the full install (Thanks Brad)

Rear Fog Light

Once the rear fog light is installed, proceed as follows:

Wiring Installation:

Open bonnet

On RHS of engine bay, identify rear relay box (smaller of the two that identifies four relays only) and remove cover

Fit relay P/No 25230-79945 to ‘RR Fog Lamp’ relay housing

Refit cover and close bonnet

Remove lower panel under dash/steering wheel

On RHS of steering column, identify two (one small diameter and one large diameter) black plastic convoluted wiring loom harness. Note: The loom harness is one piece but has a slit along it’s entire length which is then wrapped in insulation tape

On the large loom harness, cut insulation tape along loom harness slit for approx 200-250mm

Remove wiring loom from the black plastic harness, identify the small diameter 'grey with blue stripe' wire and the small diameter 'blue with yellow stripe' wire. (Note: There is also a large diameter 'blue with yellow stripe' wire in this bundle. DO NOT use this wire)

In-line splice a separate wire onto the small 'grey with blue stripe' wire and the small 'blue with yellow stripe' wire

Fit rocker switch (Narva 63010BL) into spare switch location on lower dash panel

Attach other ends of wires (2 of) to the switch

Check operation of rear fog light (operation shown below)

Refit wiring loom into wiring harness as much and as neat as possible and re-tape with insulation tape

Refit lower panel under dash/steering wheel

Operation:

The rear fog light will only work when the front fog lights are on and can be separately switched on/off. When on, the rear fog light indicator (yellow in colour) in the instrument panel illuminates, hence there is no need for a switch with an indicator light thus removing the requirement for additional wires for power and earth.
