posticon Heated Seats

Hello All

I have noticed under the front seats in my Ti-L (and read in the vehicle handbook)wiring and looks like and element in the seats to heat them. Living in the upper Blue Mountains, the coit gets a bit cold first thing these winter mornings. Has anyone connected up these seat heaters? I would be interested in getting mine up and running asap!

Re: Heated Seats

Kim,

I know that the xtrails in Canada (for example) come with heated seats for all models.

I thought the Ti-L had this feature as standard along with the seat position memory function (I could be wrong, am not sure)

I'll check the manual and see where these wires should go to.

Re: Heated Seats

Hi Jalal

No, the wiring harness is tied up there. Should have told you, mine's a series 1, i.e. non electric seats.

Re: Heated Seats

Hi Kim,

OK, I had a look in the manual and can confirm that the wiring harness you saw gets connected to 2 heating elements inside the seat itself (one at the back and the other at the bottom part of the seat).

See this illustration

However, I think we don't have the heating elements in our seats in the first place, so that's why these wires are not connected to anything.

Re: Heated Seats

I only had my ST-L for about a week and had not got used to it. I must have accidently switched the passengers seat heater on to high. The wife said she was hot and wanted the air conditioning on, a bit further on she said she was burning up. I stopped and felt the seat - dahm, the heater is on - get out the manual to find the "any switch". All fixed and on our way.

Re:

Same thing happened with my wife in the first week she drove our exy, she kept complaining how bad the air-conditioning was and that it was always burning hot inside the car.... LOL emoticon
