Built to your specs, for NA, High Comp or Boost - including sleeved blocks capable of +700whp" 2JR company is well known in the Sentra community for building QR25DE turbo engines with 700 and maxing out at 850hp, I will post links when I can but they have much development to get them to stay reliable. Here is another QR making 700hp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4shP2IA38gQ 9 second run should equate around that number https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlvjy9b5A2Y Here is one claimed to have just over 800hp wheel HP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXacu4veyO8 nondisclosed_email@example.com (Snailtrail)Wed, 05 Jul 2023 16:22:25 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2099931,from=rss#post2099931https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2099931,from=rss#post2099931Snailtrail, That 2jracing link has no mention of using a QR20 crank & custom rods nor anything about 800+ whp so please check your facts before posting incorrect links.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Mon, 05 Jun 2023 22:45:20 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2099927,from=rss#post2099927https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2099927,from=rss#post2099927quote:blackxtrailgt wrote: Hey Rich, I don't think that is the case here... SR20DE crankshaft and custom rods have been fitted to a qr25de before the 07 engine came out and sleeved also by 2j performance, they achieved 800+hp reliably https://www.2j-racing.com/2jr-fully-built-qr25-engines.htmlnondisclosed_email@example.com (Snailtrail)Mon, 05 Jun 2023 17:23:32 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1996773,from=rss#post1996773https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p1996773,from=rss#post1996773Hey AKAK9, What have you done to your intake since this last post ? I've done the full exhaust and now wondering what could be done to the intake apart from a CAI.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Thu, 25 Jan 2007 16:05:39 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868393,from=rss#post868393https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868393,from=rss#post868393There are some pretty scary items on that list. Balance shaft removal kit? (good way to make an engine die a short death) Pulley kits? (ditto) Might be good on a high revving race engine but I'd be dubiuos on something like an Exy. Even the cams I'd be wary of. The QR25DE is lumpy enough on idle. To me the easiest way of getting a bit more grunt would be headers, filter and a good flow job. A blower would be ok as well but only if the deck was closed. (not a particularly easy job). I've only had my Exy for about 750kms now and already I've had a look down the inlet chambers. A simple cleanup of the inlet would definately make an improvement as they were pretty rough. The throttle body to plenum chamber is miss-matched, which also benefit from a smoothing out. (oh boy the missus is gonna hate me!)nondisclosed_email@example.com (AKAK9)Sat, 11 Feb 2006 22:43:44 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868392,from=rss#post868392https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868392,from=rss#post868392Hey Rich, I don't think that is the case here... The SR crankshaft will NEVER fit into a QR as the bore spacings are completely different, the main bearing points are different, the timing chain gear and oil pump drive are different... TOTALLY different motors. nondisclosed_email@example.com (blackxtrailgt)Wed, 18 Jan 2006 15:40:03 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868389,from=rss#post868389https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868389,from=rss#post868389Well I've done the following upgrades already: AEM Cold Air Intake SS Autochrome Header Jim Wolf Technology Balance Shaft Remover Kit Custom Exhaust Custom Midpipe Timin Advance to 17 degrees BTDC Knock sensor grounded 66mm overbored Throttle Body Energy Suspension Polyurethane Motor Mounts Upgrades on the list this month: Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket Impulse Mechanisms Pulley Faktion Short Shifter Jim Wolf Technology Camshaftsnondisclosed_email@example.com (Terranismo)Fri, 14 Jan 2005 11:46:00 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868388,from=rss#post868388https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868388,from=rss#post868388Well Manuel in B15sentra there are several QR25DEs holding up to 6.5-8psi of boost rather well (267whp) with the PTI or FI-R turbo kits. There are currently two Spec Vs pushing out more than 400whp on built engine and an automatic SE-R with 300whp. There has been new parts updates as well. There is a destroker kit with a SR20DE crank and pistons which N/A pushes the QR to 250whp. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Terranismo)Thu, 04 Nov 2004 05:45:02 +0000 Re: Engine Upgrades FAQhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868387,from=rss#post868387https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p868387,from=rss#post868387Please don't try to turbocharge QR25DE or even QR20DE's, they are open deck engines & can't support well the added pressure.
