Posting photos
IMPORTANT: The display of REGO PLATES in photos posted on the forum is allowed if you are sharing a photo of your own car, however you will need to be mindful when posting a photo of a group and you will need to seek permission from all members in the photo regarding the display of their rego/number plates!

Re: Posting photos
Dear Members,
As per the recent announcement regarding PhotoBucket becoming a paid service and limiting the 3rd part photos sharing on websites and forums (details HERE), please start using a service called Flickr which doesn't have those limitations and it's totally free for upto 1000GB of photos to host.
You can practice and test your new Flickr account in our forum test section HERE. Thanks

Re: Posting photos
Yes Rich, rego plates can not be displayed in avatars as well. Please let me or the member in question know about the rego plates.

Re: Posting photos
Hi Jalal,
I tried searching as much as possible, but I can't find any info on where to upload videos to. Is there a password required? I'm in the process of converting the size of the 4 of them to be more Youtube friendly.

Re:
Hi John,
You will need to create your own account with YouTube and upload your videos there. PhotoBucket also offers video upload capability.

Re: Posting photos

As per the recent announcement regarding PhotoBucket becoming a paid service and limiting the 3rd part photos sharing on websites and forums (details HERE), please start using a service called Flickr which doesn't have those limitations and it's totally free for upto 1000GB of photos to host.
The following is an extract from their help pages...
Copy the BBCode
Click a photo to open it.
Click the Share icon Right-pointing arrow.
Click BBCode.
Pick the size you want to display.
Copy the code and use it on your website.
Get a direct URL to it
Click a photo to open it.
Click the Download icon Click to download and image to Flickr..
Click View all sizes.
Click on the size you want to see.
Right-click the image.
Select Copy Image Location or Copy Image URL (text may vary per browser).
Their ToS lists the usual about copyright, non-violent, non-sexual, non-discriminatory and specifically states linking to blogs or boards with embedding is allowed provided the link-back to Flickr is kept.
You can practice and test your new Flickr account in our forum test section HERE. Thanks

Re: Posting photos
For those of you wishing to link to photos in your Dropbox, please follow the instructions below to get a visible picture in your post...
1. Click the Insert Image button
2. Paste the url from Dropbox
3. REPLACE dl=0 at the end of the link with raw=1 in the pasted url before clicking ok
eg.
.../mypic.jpg?dl=0
becomes
.../mypic.jpg?raw=1
PLEASE also DO NOT remove any photos you link from your Dropbox as this will kill the links and make the posts unreadable. Unless you have a paid Dropbox account, it is recommended to use a different photo hosting site like Flickr if you intend to have many linked photos as the free account has a limited storage.

Re: Posting photos
Posting from Google Photos
It is advised not to post links to any photos from Google Photos since they can only be viewed by another member if they have a Google account and they login to it.
Please consider using one of the previously mentioned photo hosting websites so that all members have the ability to view your photos regardless of any other social media accounts they may or may not have.
