Re:

The trailer I have allows the front panel to also fold down, which I find a handy feature to get to items stored on that side of the trailer, and hence can't put items on the A-Frame (that and its also a pretty short A-Frame due to the size of the trailer).

I am tempted to give up the idea of the front panel folding down and fitting holders at this end. Alternatively I'm also looking at welding a ring on the A-Frame that the gas bottle sits in, and then have a strap like holder attached to the fold down door. That way, once the gas bottle is removed, you can then fold down the door again. Water can probably be stored in the trailer, or I'll look at an underbody water tank for it. Fuel is the only other issue, and since I don't always need to carry fuel I may get away with just storing it on the roof rack of the car (which seems to be a no-no according to some literature, but if you didn't have a trailer, where else would you store it?).

Re: camper trailers

It has arrived home and now sits in the driveway and the camper trailer was easy enough to tow!

Here are some quick pics and I will post some more in my members ride when we get it erected for the first time!

Reversing in to hook the trailer up!

Nice Scot.
You should have asked for a blue tent on the trailer to match your Xy.

Re: camper trailers

I have a cheap Mario $3400 CT but with the Exy its no problem towing it ,only downside with mine being an sludgematic is going down MT Victoria its hard on the brakes even when i go into second gear but once i get time to fit the brakes to the trailer it wont be a problem any more(i hope)

Re:

I bought a cheapy camper trailer as well, and to be honest it works ok. I can tell where some corners were cut (it doesn't reduce the quality - just the ease of use or features) and I can now say there are some things I definately would've liked to have which a more expensive camper trailer would have included.

It doesn't affect my use that greatly and the camper trailer is still very useful and enjoyable, but it has definately given me a starting point and if I want to upgrade one day I'll have some idea of additional features I'm going to want to have.

Re: camper trailers

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the cheap ones we are very very pleased with our one its well built and big (tent part) we didnt want all the options cause mainly i can do most of the extras my self for a quarter of the cost and built to how we want it [sign in to see URL] tailgate kitchen i think i modified it 4 times now to suit us not how the manufacturers built them.
