generous amounts of light hail in Bexley Sunday night

No X-Trail action photos here due to night-time low-light conditions, but I took some photos of the fallen hail on the ground... Quite a generous covering on the ground made it look like snow...

No time to upload them now...

But I just had to take the X-Trail out for a bit of a spin to see how it handles... There was a ppor guy in an expensive RWD sports car stuck on a bit of a hill (Harrow Rd/Watkin St intersection) that needed a bit of a push to get going again... Would you believe it was another X-Trail owner that had also stopped to give him a hand emoticon

Did some laps of local streets and ABS cut in quite quickly (as expected) so early and soft braking is a definite to avoid ABS cutting in (which made it feel like I hadn't even applied the brakes, apart frm the pedal-shuddering!). Tried some 2WD-only driving, and it was very easy to go all over the place - AUTO as I had it in previously would be necessary at any speeds faster than jogging pace...

What a fun night I had tonight emoticon

Re: generous amounts of light hail in Bexley Sunday night

Lucky we didn't get any here, as my car was parked in the driveway emoticon

Got out and saw something bouncing off the car and realised that it's a very small hail, so took my chances and left the car outside over-night (I know I shouldn't have)

Drove to work this morning (woke-up late, so I had to drive) and saw the hail-snow formation on the road close to the airport and Bighton as well as Chatswood. (it didn't melt overnight)
