NEW to the site

I have just purchased my White 5 Speed Manual ST XTRAIL from Kerry Nissan in Darwin.

Great Vehicle, not taken off road yet!

Car does 1,000klms a week travelling between Darwin and home each week.

Only got a 1/4 tank of fuel to drive away with from the dealer, however saved $4,000 on the trail.

Great Site to be a part of.

Hi Steve and welcome to the australian xtrail world emoticon

Congrats on your new purchase and am sure you gonna love it.

You've got some catching-up to do on the xtrail accessories, enhancements and trip reports on this forum, so take your time reading the posts and shoot any questions you may like to ask.

P.S. I moved your post about the mirrors to the Q&A section.

Re: NEW to the site

Hi Jalalski,

I am thinking of buying some alloys for my series II due to the continual damage to my wheel covers @ $130 a throw.

Will Series I alloys fit my series II

and do you know who sells new 16" alloys at a good price.

Cheers

Steve

Re: NEW to the site

Hi Steve,

They should fit as I would presume the offset is the same between series I and II.

I got series II 16" alloys on my series I exy and they're a perfect fit.

However finding them (at a good price) is a completely different ball game emoticon

I think there is a member on our forum who was selling his series I alloys. Check the "for sale" section and contact him.

Otherwise keep an eye on eBay or the wreckers.

Re: NEW to the site

Steve, just a quick word of warning - if you're already scratching up your wheel covers, there's just as much chance you'll scratch up new alloy wheels - and they're much more expensive to replace than wheel covers!!!

Re: NEW to the site

Tanks Rich,

I am looking for Alloys because the wheels covers are falling off....not being contacted on anything!

I have replaced two wheels covers which had NO marks on them whatsoever.

Nissan will not cover them under warranty either.

The plastic clip attached to the wire are very flimsy..beware if you have a tyre change...take off the covers yourself before you take it to the tyre fitter.

Cheers

Steve
