Re: Replace Standard Headunit in Xtrail 2013 T31 with Awesome Joying Smart Radio

Jeff...

You've inspired me.. I think i am going to go ahead with the same unit as you.. I don't have any reverse cameras so will get one that is compatible with this... Give me a few weeks and hopefully i can upload a success story...

Thanks

Re: Replace Standard Headunit in Xtrail 2013 T31 with Awesome Joying Smart Radio

My Exy has 154k on the clock and the engine light came on for the first time on my way to work yesterday. Got to work and phoned the local workshop who wanted $65.00 to let me know what the code was. A mate of mine has the same heat unit as mine and he bought the OBD blue tooth module at the same time. I didn't think I would need it and wasn't quite sure how it worked. It took him about 2 mins to plug it in and bring up the code on my radio. P0488. The radio has an app called Torque that is pre loaded, now I know how it works. So it looks like ill be pulling my EGR valve out on the weekend to give it a clean. There is another thread in these forums that has a lot of info on how to do this, but I will also be buying this same module as for $20.00 and what it did, I was amazed. When Ive finished the EGR clean and my module has arrived, I will post on here another video showing what these things do and how they work.

Re:

Hi there, I am just wondering if the carjoying cd players work with steering wheel controls? I've just been to my local AutoOne and they have told me I will loss the controls if I replace the head unit. Cheers.

Re: Replace Standard Headunit in Xtrail 2013 T31 with Awesome Joying Smart Radio

Worked with the steering wheel controls on my T31 with the exception of the 'answer' button which was unrecognised.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Does the "I"-info button still work?
