Re:
After learning that motor was nothing more than a pirce of junk, next self inflicted task was to hunt a low km M9R engine in budget under 2k.
Rang about 10 or so wreckers in Perth that have any sorts of xtrails wrecking ads on Gumtree, only couple have M9R in stock. One of those has around 225Ks on odo engine still running inside the car. Though the price was reasonable i.e. 2 grands I didn't want to risk my efforts n money on a motor that has too high Ks on it.
The 2nd option has around 140Ks, I didnt actually get to see it running and the wrecker was asking 4 grands for it. Too f..kin expensive. Doesn't worth spending that much on the project so discarded this option as well.
Some online research showed those M9R 2 litre dci turbo diesel engines are not only used in xtrails but other nissan models like Dualis, and across Renualt diesel variants such as Latitude, koelos, Trafic, Megane etc, with Megane GT having dual Turbo variant of m9r.
