Re: Radiator Drain Plug
Thank you Mr BPxtrail for your kind and helpful response. While you appear to live in Canberra you have taken the trouble to point me to two possible sources, both of which are almost within walking distance to where I live. I will certainly follow them up.
I have tried a few likely suppliers, including radiator specialists, but so far no-one can help. I find this really surprising, seeing that draining radiators is a common maintenance procedure, like doing an oil change. Yet oil drain plugs are a dime a dozen at Supercheap and elsewhere, radiator drain plugs are unobtainable. Strange.
Regarding Renault: I was not kidding when I said that they will only sell the radiator complete with plug, but not the plug or sealing washer seperately - although they say: "replace sealing ring when re-fitting the drain plug". It is indeed a strange world out there.
