Re: New Gear Shift

Thanks Alan,

Exactly mate, it is the part where we have done everything and it didn't move at all where we had to stop because we didn't want to use any force seeing that it was all plastic parts in there all the way to the transmission connection. Even the Nissan dealer had no idea about the process of taking it off because they have never done it and suggested that it comes as one piece with the transmission itself.

I was so angry that I got this gear stick for so cheap and it was SO nice, yet I couldn't fit it. It was snapped-up from me on eBay straight away when I sold it emoticon

You have done the hardest mod there is mate and you should be proud of this achievement, because it was NEVER done before emoticon

Thanks for your help and look forward to the pics.

Now that my car is a bit older, I can afford to break things OR force them to move. hahahaha emoticon

This shifter looks great. Jalal, can you remember where you purchased yours?

Re: New Gear Shift

Hi Jalal. I know this is an old thread, but did you ever get the shift knob off? I've seen suggestions of destroying it to get it off. Surely that wouldn't be necssary?

Re: New Gear Shift

Hi Jalal. Sorry if I'm repeating myself; I thought I'd already replied to your post. I'm wondering whether you ever got the shift knob off? I see references elsewhere to destroying the leather covering to get it off. Seems wrong to me.
