OK Ray. It appears that you can now post photos from flickr. I also noticed your photo post in the member test section so I won't now respond to your last PM email to me.

It has been suggested in the past by Admin that the "thumbnail" size of the photo from flickr is best suited for attaching photos to this forum as it saves space or whatever.
When members are viewing thumbnail phottos they simply click on your photo and it will open up to full size for better viewing.

I also note that your post below is dated 15 May (with your edited post yesterday to insert pictures) and that no one has replied to your questions. I myself do not know the answer to your question but perhaps someone may now view this post because it now appears again at the top of this forum thread/

good luck

I read your response in runboard to my post and does that mean to post pics
just view as normal before enlarging within Flickr also Photobucket?
Also did all the 4 pics show in my post 2 from Flickr and 2 from photobucket,
both showing 1 upper and 1 lower= 4 pics, if that is the case it means I've
done it right. as I don't site them with my dial up.

Re: 2009 t31 diesel 6sp man (all oil changes)

Members on this forum used to use photobucket regulary to post pictures but photobucket stopped the ability for anyone to post to a third party site for free. You now have to pay for a photobucket account in order to post to a 3rd party web site.

So it was suggested that members try using Flickr which currently allows 3rd party posting for free.

In Flickr you have the option to post your photos as a thumbnail. You don't need to change the size of your photo in your Flickr account. When you open your photo in Flickr and proceed to share the photo as I have previously mentioned using the BBcode URL There is a drop down box under the code that you can scroll down to view the various sizes that you can use to share your photo. If you click on the "thumbnail" your shared photo will appear as a thumbnail size photo in your forum post. Members only need to click on your thumbnail and it will open up as the normal size photo you have in your Flickr account. Keep practicing in the members test section using thumbnails etc and then reviewing your test. You'll get the hang of it.

So, only 2 of your photos show up in this thread and I will assume they are the ones you have in your Flickr account.

regards

I still have an open account with Photobucket, that is why I am trying both Flickr
and Photobucket to see if I can still use either, but as you say can only view 2 pics
which I presume are from Flickr, but now I know about the test area I will continue to
try my skills with it and see what happens, so thanks for your uplifting response to
my query!

Ray
PS Dave I tried again this morning after sending you the above response, and it looks
like it worked with Photobucket, please view and let me know if you sire 2 pics from
photobucket and 2 pics from Flickr?

I now see 4 pics. 2 larger ones and 2 thumbnails. The thumbnails indicate that are from Flickr so
I assume then that the 2 larger ones are from photobucket which are your original pics!

Looks as though you now have the knowledge to post photos from both Flickr and Photobucket.

cheers

Dave
