Hot mudguard question. Hi guys,
Noticed in my 2011 T31 Diesel auto Xtrail the front drivers side mud guard gets very hot after a run. Came home after a good run at freeway speeds and even after idling around the local streets making my way home, the front guard was almost impossible to touch, this was at night time, not during the day with the hot sun on it.

Re: jeez..that is weird... are we talking about the same thing tho? .. Mud Guard? ..the flat piece of rubber/plastic that hangs down behind the wheel ..just stops mud from getting splattered up over the side of the car? Is that what you are referring to?
If so ... is the tyre rubbing on it? ... I would have thought you would hear it if it was .. is there perhaps a little heater behind there in that wheel arch? .. I note you have a diesel, maybe a warm-up thing..small fuel burning heater... that is running when it shouldnt be? .. long shot I know..but..cant think of anything else that would create heat in that area...
