Fan blower motor fix - new problem

Hi all, I live in the NT and have been without Air-conditioning for a few weeks while I was waiting for a new blower motor to arrive. I fitted it today and was relived to have cool air, I started to fit the guards back feeling happy I could drive with cool air.

All of a sudden it stops. I checked the connection, all good. Checked that the fan is getting power. All good. Fuses are ok. NOT HAPPY

Could it now be the fan control Amp. Do they commonly break down together? the last blower motor was seized.

Please help

What type of Xtrail do you have, is it with the Auto Airconditioning controller or the manual dial type ?

Smity
The fan control amp switches the ground of the fan.
I'm guessing you tested the fan was getting 12V.
Have you tried the fan by shorting the ground terminal of the fan to earth to make sure the fan is OK ?
