Front bar for 2006 Nissan Xtrail T30

Hey guys, had a quick look on here and couldn't find anything in particular about this, I had been looking for a proper front bar to suit my Xtrail for some time now, with only nudge bars or the Baja (I think it is) bars as the only options. I've contacted a mob called OPT (offroad performance trucks) who do a lot of custom bar work (look at the Patrol bar on their facebook page). I mentioned that so far no-one seems interested in making a bar for the Xtrail T30 as it's a monocoque chassis etc, on the off chance would they do anything at all. This is the response:

"We would give it a go.. we are the only people doing non chop rear bar and non flare chop sliders on gu4's and apparently that couldn't be done.. come in.. we would need the car to have a look.. if it can be done we are the people to do it..👌🏻"

Being over east (I'm in Perth), would anyone be willing to try this? Is it a waste of time? They are on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. If it's possible, would this be something that could be a group buy maybe?

Thanks!

ECB (East Coast Bullbars) have a wide range to choose from for the T30 models.

Thanks for that jalalski, but I'm talking about a proper front bull bar, not a nudge bar.

Re:

Fair enough.

You'll find them HERE

For the T30 model only Barjo manufactured the full bulbar and I doubt you'll get anyone else to do that now for such an "old" model as the market would be very limited.

The company is happy to look at it for me and has made one off bars previously, but needs to have a QLD T30 to look at. He's confirmed that he is talking about a proper front bar, not a nudge bar etc.

Not sure why would you go to the trouble of asking a company to re-invent the wheel for a product that already exist. Am I missing something here? emoticon

Re:

Sorry, may have said the wrong thing earlier. The only front bars available for the T30 is the Barja bar which is huge and fits over the existing bumper, or, nudge bars. This company has said they can have a go making up a proper replacement front bar, given their previous work, will increase approach angle as well as front protection

Sorry Ben, still not clear, so maybe try posting a photo of what you have in mind to make it clearer and to generate interest from other members as well.

As far as I know and based on the links I already gave you, existing options for the T30 are:

* Nudge Bar (high and low type)
* Tubular Bull Bar
* Full Bumper Bullbar (where they cut half of the existing plastic bumper to fit it). That is the Barjo one.

My issue is that all these options are worth nearly more than my car! I do have a line on an ECB tubular bar at a SA wreckers for $500, but I would prefer a full bar too. Just have't found one at the 'right price' yet.

I think the confusion is that on the T31, ECB don't cut the front plastic bumper, it goes OVER the front plastic bumper.

And I think this is a Barjo? Same again, OVER the bumper.

For the T30....
Tuff Bars are another option for a full bar.
Alloy (pic of a T31, but they apparently do this bar for the T30 as well):

Or Black Steel (T30)

Looks to me like the Barjo does replace the lower plastic on the T30 though...??

Re:

Wiz, you're right, it looks like the Barjo does replace the bumper, from photos I saw previously I thought it looked the same as the T31.

But, I was looking for something that looked a lot better, lighter and improved approach angle such as the ARB style bars and even the Xrox bars.

Spoke again to OPT and they have access to a T30 and are confident of making something more suitable.

Trying to attach a photo from their facebook page of their Patrol bar that looks ideal for what I want.
