Re:

front mounted lights for the win!

my brother in law has a roof mounted light bar (D40Navara) and while its awesome at night(in the bush) for highway driving it lights up the bonnet of the car which I find distracting

I love my lights and as I drive 220km per day to and from work the night time(winter driving) they really come in handyImage

Re: Roof Driving Lights

Mounting the lightbar ontop of the nudge might actually be illegal because of potential pedestrian injury and obstruction of field of view. That is why they banned fishing rod holders being mounted the same way when not in-use.

You should check with your local RMS

Re:

Well, I managed to feed the wires through the firewall and all that.
However, removing the windscreen gasket (one side) was not a good idea as I thought. Now the gasket cannot be fitted back into the side of the windscreen, so I have ended up with loose wires and loose gasket. I know the space on the side of the windscreen is extremely tight. So basically Im screwed in the middle of heavy rain season. :s

Re: SHOW ME THE LIGHT!!!

Dear jalalski
How did you manage to get the windscreen rubber back in place without falling apart? or even staying at the same place? My wires seems to be a little thick making it very hard to put the gasket back in place, like this picture shows. Did you use some sort of silicon based glue?

your help will be greatly appreciated.

ps: sorry for asking too much. I just need a little help

Re:

No glue or silicone was used at all, just thin gauge wires.

Re:

Ok ok noted.
Im afraid about using a thin gauge wire, specially when driving a 300W led bar.
Any other suggestion my friend, just in case?

Re:

The only other option is to run the wires from the rear of the car from under the tail lights and under the roof rails themselves.
