Issues with Starter motor/grinding noise

I have a 2004 Ti Auto and about 3 months ago I my starter motor crapped out. I ordered a new (non genuine) one from ebay and replaced it and was all good. Then about 3 weeks later it started to make some grinding noises and eventually after a few more starts, sounded like it was feely spinning and car would not start. Took it back to the guy I bought it off and he replaced it. Here I am 3-4 weeks later and the noise is back. Hasnt died completely but Im not taking the car out so I can pay someone to tow me home again. I followed all the steps in the manual and all was fine right up until now.

I find it hard to believe that I would have the worst luck to have 2 bad starter motors, so wondering what else could be causing the grinding to start after a few weeks?

Re:

Get a genuine one and at the very least a genuine re-conditioned one and see how you go from there. Those cheap ones don't last long, so I wouldn't be surprised if both of them died in a short time.

Just posting a follow up, was going to cost $230 to reco the old one and Nissan is charging $295 for a new genuine one which seems to be the going rate.
