Thanks Jalal, will do. I've put most of them into Photobucket and I'll work my way through the info. Thanks again.

No worries Eric, you've done the hard part which is creating a PB account, the rest is easy emoticon You can head over to the Test Section of the forum and practise copying the image links from PhotoBucket into your post to see how they look.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & AirBag Asst

Had a set of rear airbags fitted at Pedders Orange today. I decided to fit airbags based on the advice from TJM when I purchased a Tyre Trek tyre carrier with dual jerry can holders. I'm heading to Birdsville/North Queensland in late June with my partner and her sister and with the additional weight at the rear and on the roof, not to mention inside the car, I could see the need for supporting the rear suspension as much as possible, as well as levelling the Exy up to improve the handling.

Prior to getting Pedders to do the job I had priced sets on-line and could have picked them up for $325 and take around an hour each side to fit. For $565 Pedders supplied and fitted the airbags, did a 4 wheel alignment and inspected all the suspension.

Gotta say I'm pretty happy with the job and I think having a full 2 year warranty is worth the extra cost to have them fitted.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & AirBag Asst

Hi McBain01,
The more common upgrade is a set of king springs. This gives approx 30mm of lift with no major mods.
The set is going to cost $320.
I just bought a set from Bursons in Adelaide.
If you have a petrol model you need KDFR94 and KDFR95.
If you have diesel you need KDFR94HD AND KDFR95.
it costs approx $360 to fit.
Hope this helps a little.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & AirBag Asst

Just to add to my previous post.
The rear of the T31 is springs and shocks independently. I did find a how to guide in a previous post however there was a lot of extra work i didn't undertake. I just used a set of spring compressors which worked a treat. You can pickup a set grom most auto stores for around $50. If its a one of mod this is plenty.
The fronts are a little more tricky but mot impossible. I have done this once before on an outlander with 100% success.
The key is to mark all points where springs start and end and where the strut plate cover lines up.
In regards to the struts and shocks, they should be changed at approx 100k but if there is no regular offroading it may not be necessary.
I took my xy to a lical pedders and for $35 received a report on the state of the struts and shocks.
Well worth the money.

Re: T31 Suspension

I did the Kings springs upgrade on my 2008 Diesel with 205k on the clock over teh end of year break and I could not be happier with the improvement in handling.
It feels like it should have when new and I've already noticed an improvement in tire wear.
I recommend this upgrade to any T31 owner!

Re:

hello guys .... Im looking at a set of suitable Kings Springs to lift my X Trail ... found a set if 4 on ebay for equivalent of AU$350 ..which seems to include delivery to Philippines ...altho.. the listing isnt very clear.. cannot find absolute confirmation of that ...asked the seller & waiting response

Image
Image

the listing specifically says T31 Petrol and confirms the part nos are correct for petrol ..KDFR-94 & KDRR-95. Did I read somewhere in this thread that the front springs are handed for left & right? ...with a R & L suffix on the front part no.? ...or am I thinking of something else?!

My other question is ...this seems a really good price...especially since it seems to include delivery ..& 4 springs are HEAVY! ..the seller is ARCHM Industries from Bayswater, Melbourne..... anyone heard of them?... anyone bought from them?..they seem legit?

UPDATE ..please disregard....seller finally got back to me ...they dont ship overseas..lol
so...anyone know ANYONE who will ship a set of Kings or Dobinsons springs overseas?
