Thread Bump...

Hey guys,
Looking at picking up a T30 shortly and spoke to a good mate of mine that makes bashplates for a living for a heap of 4WD;s. (I have the full kit of his on my Pajero)

I asked him if he does anything for the T30 (or any x-trail for that matter) and he said no, but is happy to take a look and see what he can do...

Is there still a genuine interest for a quality made, ready to fit bash plate ?? - or are most of you happy to design and build your own ??

If there is interest - are there people that are based in NSW (Newcastle to Central Coast) that would donate their vehicle for an hour or so to be measured up.

Would need to check all models to check or any variances (Auto v Manual too)

Just an enquiry at this stage...

Re: T30 bash plate

So I think Im going to need a bash plate. Anyone selling one, selling a car with one they would be willing to do a swap + cash deal for a standard OEM cover? I know Pedders sell the AFSIR unit but its a bit too much money to spend on a $5k car. Thinking around $300-400 is my budget.

Anyone know a wrecking/parts car that has one available.

Re: T30 bash plate

Hi CaptK,

I too am interested in the bash plate, kicking myself that I missed out on the type 1 & 2 versions that Jalal organised many years ago.

If you're getting anything made please keep me posted.

Thanks Charles.

Re: T30 bash plate

I haven't heard back from my guy either after I sent him the drawings, but he does have a new baby and this is his hobby job, still works full time for engineering mob, while trying to run his machining / fabrication business on the side.

Also not trying to spend a lot on this T30 that I can't take with me to the T31 diesel when I get one. The bash plate would be one of those items I cant take with me. But I pickup a Nissan 'OEM' nudge bar tomorrow (with all brackets!) for $120 which I thought was reasonable considering nearby pickup, no freight.
