Scotty, it's only the Fujitsu Ten site that has closed, the Naviextras Toolbox software still works just fine to add updates to the SD card (acting as the "device") and you can still purchase updates by logging into the Eclipse website.
Have a look at https://eclipse.naviextras.com/shop/portal/howto-guide?guide=Toolbox&live.ui.locale.code=en_AU
Hope this helps.

Re:
You don't need any special kind of SD card - as long as it's not as SD HC card.
Silly question, I hope...Have you downloaded the system's files onto the card? the toolbox won't recognise the device unless the nav system's files have been downloaded onto the device and it more or less imitates the "device" when plugged into the toolbox.
Start with this webpage here - http://www.eclipse-web.com/au/avn726ea_mapupdates/step01.html
The second update page HERE is the more important step as it downloads the nav system's files onto the SD card. This must be followed or the whole thing won't work.
Keep plugging away buddy - we'll get you there.
Mark

Re:
Sorry I haven't replied Scotty, been caught up with work the last several weeks.
I'm surprised those instructions have not worked, as they were the ones I had.
How long did you wait after you press menu>settings>about>update? From memory I had to leave it for quite some time. Keep trying mate, we'll work it out.

Re:
Scotty, This just in...
Take a look at this webpage...http://www.eclipse-web.com/au/support/update/mapupdate/avn726ea/
It now points to a new website called www.navigation.com. Input your vehicle brand, model, year etc and it comes up with a package update that includes a CD to update the firmware and a map update on an SD card, all for $199. Over to you mate, but if you really want the update this might be the way to do it.
Hope this helps.

Re: T31 Series 3 & 4 Eclipse Head Unit
Hey Mark,
No worries mate hey ya have to pay the bills and make a few coins.
I have been sidetracked again by the loss of my father in law a couple of weeks ago.
The in laws have been good to me and the old fella was a typical old school gentleman.
R.I.P dad.
Anyway life goes on and back to the car, thanks Mark i will check out the new page tomorrow while our son is at school (the mrs is staying with mum atm).
Unfortunately today when having my tyres rotated, brake, steering, etc inspection the boys discovered that one of my front struts is starting to leak, the front lower control arms are worn and will need replacement soon, also one of my rear shocks is starting to leak.
My priority now is the dam shocks, struts and control arms.
My local Jax Tyre centre has quoted me,
$595 for the front struts,
$385 for the rear
and $450-$500 for the control arms
I have been going there exclusively for tyres, suspension, etc but i don't think i will be accepting this quote :P
I have found Monroe Magnum Gas shocks and struts $245 for the front and $285 for the rear elsewhere.
I realize Jax would include fitting but surely fitting won't cost me $450 to have new shocks fitted. I could confidently change the rear shocks but i've never touched a "strut" before.
I will get back to the Eclipse unit well into the new year now i think, dam shocks and santa claus.
Have a good one cheers and thanks for the help mate, much appreciated
Scotty
