Re:
Copying of the card won't work, as each card will have its own key for the software contained in it to work with your navi system. They wouldn't make it easy like that for us mate

Re: T31 Series 5 Nissan Connect System (including Navigation)
Well, in shear frustration and needing to have upto date maps in my Nissan X-trail fitted with the Nissan Connection SatNav system with Whereis map data, I have finally installed my old Garmin Nuvi 1490T in my T31 (2013 model).
All I can say is - what a joke the Satnav system in my car is with its already out of date maps when I purchased the car a month ago.
Apparently Nissan and Whereisn't have some sort of sweetheart deal going, so that if I want the latest maps, I can't go directly to Whereisn't, (that have annual map updates), but have to go to Nissan and buy old, out of date maps at a greatly inflated price.
Well. not this unhappy Nissan/Whereisn't owner, I will stick with my old Garmin and Nissan and Whereisn't can go to buggery over this engineered corporate rip-off.
I suggest that if anyone is considering using a GPS unit in their X-Trail, then go for an aftermarket unit and not one that utilises Whereisn't maps.
The Whereisn't maps are hopless for me where I live in rural NSW, especially so for those that are out of date by about 2 years.
PS: My Garmin came with free lifetime map updates, - go figure Nissan and Whereis n't.
