Re:
Hi Ian,
Based on personal experience of having a T30 auto with the full exhaust system, I can tell you that while it didn't make a difference to the behaviour of the cruise control, I found myself not using it at all in hilly areas, I wanted to enjoy having full control of the accelerator and the power under my disposal, so while previous hill climbs were boring, after the exhaust upgrade they became much more enjoyable due to the power & torque increase even with the standard automatic transmission. I can only imagine the feeling of a manual powered T30

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System (T30 X-TRAIL)
Hi Ian,
It all relates to where you are in the power/torque band and the steepness of the hill. A slight incline might not make the auto transmission change down with the added torque available but a steeper one will.
Also, the rate of change of the gradient also makes a big difference to how the cruise control reacts. There is a normal delay to sensing the change in speed before the cruise control starts to accelerate to maintain speed and sometimes the difference from the set speed can be large enough to require a change-down of the transmission to maintain speed. This is just the way a cruise control responds differently to how we react ourselves as we have the gift of sight and intuition that allows us to slowly add pressure to the accelerator before the incline increases so that speed is maintained more effectively.

Re:
Thanks Barry,
I thought the word "stainless steel through-out" for the CatCo Cat. Converter was enough information to indicate that it has a metal core, but I took your suggestion on board and added the metal substrate to the description.
The ceramic coating is only done on the outside of the headers and this is more than enough to eliminate any heat dispensation.
Due to the high cost of ceramic coating, Hi-Tech will not be offering having the headers ceramic dipped (inside and outside) as standard and this will only be priced as "special request"
I don't think you need to go to that extreme to be honest.

Re:
No problems Barry. Hi-Tech will never use Mild Steel with any of their exhaust systems, as they consider such product inferior when it comes to achieving results and when providing 10 years warranty on all of their systems.
I received your pricing request and sent it off to Hi-Tech to confirm the shipping cost.

Re:
Hi Ted,
Hi-Tech showed me your enquiry on 27/11 and I have asked them to respond to you directly. Please send them another reminder email.
I pulled myself out of their operation, as their response times are not as it used to be.
P.S. The pricing for Full Members is shown on the first page of this thread, so you just need to get the freight cost from Hi-Tech.
