Re: **What Tyres Do You Have?** Reference Poll Thread
Got a little something extra in the paycheck and thought I would buy some new tyres. The last set, brand new street tyres put on by last owner, got 3 flats in just a couple of weeks, with some screws being to blame from a nearby construction site. I have since kept that set and am planning on using them if we head back to the city and/or as spares for trips where two spares is needed. Went with some AT tyres this time as we do about 75% offroad driving but still wanted some fuel economy when we hit the bitumen.
A. Yokohama Geolander 225/60/17
B. All-terrain
C. Cost: (we live remote so cost was always not going to be pretty: $330 a tyre - fitted)
D. Slight increase in road noise on bitumen, car feels like it sits up taller - perhaps the more aggressive tread, fuel economy seems unchanged (i use a fuel-log to record fuel consumption). I took the car out on quite a rough rocky track on the weekend, lowered pressures and had no problems.

Re:
Slight correction to my previous post. That should have been $350, not $35 (I wish it were $35 :-)
Cooper A/T3
A. Tyre Size: 235/60/R17
B. Tread Pattern: A/T 70/30
C. Cost: $350 each (ouch)
D. Level of satisfaction: Quite happy. A smidge of road noise, but that is to be expected I suppose. Can't wait to try them out :-)
