How to anchor an Engel fridge

We collect a new Nissan x-trail ST next week. We have an Engel car fridge. How can we anchor it down in the ex-trail so it doesn't move around. Friends have a you beaut setup where they can slide their Engel out and down for easy access. I should imagine that costs quite a few dollars.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately as the floor in the boot is a false floor (and only plastic) you probably won't be able to fit a drop down fridge slide. You could build a drawer system and mount on top of that. Check out this thread for details.

Re:

You can make use of the child seat anchor points as well as the 2 tie downs near the tailgate to secure the fridge in place, but as Todd stated the boot floor is hard plastic, so you either need to fit the cargo mat or use a piece of carpet to reduce movement.

Re:

Those drop down fridge slides can cost any where from $400 to $650.
Unless you have a Patrol or Landcruiser that needs a red light on the roof to warn airplanes, then I don't think it's really worth it.

Re: How to anchor an Engel fridge

Thanks so much. Considering the Engel, for the near future, would only be used to cart home a few supermarket food items, I doubt we will want to spend $$$ so I agree with coocht31. Using the child seat anchor points will suffice so jalalski thanks for the info. I will be visiting the carpet supplier for a piece of carpet to cover the plastic boot floor (hope that won't create mould in our humid climate).
When I convince husband to go back on the road (with me!!!) I will investigate a more permanent fitout. Thanks to Toddyh03 for the link - marvellous how clever some people are.

Re: How to anchor an Engel fridge

Hi
I use my Waeco infrequently so I use an old rubber floor mat under it, to stop slipping and sliding, went to BCF and bought a flat rubber tie down, like an occy strap, but about 5cm wide
and 90cm long, I put the mat on floor behind middle seat in cargo area put fridge on this, then stretch strap between rear seat lock on either side of car, its the perfect height and fridge doesn't move. Hope this helps
