I'm Back

Hi everyone,
old friends & new.
I'm back here again.
I haven't been into the Forum for a while,
as I have been having some real down times, fighting the "Black Dog."
I'm sure a lot of people will understand what I mean by that.
It is a mongrel of a thing to go through, but hopefully,
I am on the rise again.
Things have gone downhill for me, since getting injured @ work nearly 4 yrs ago.

I'll be trying to more active in here again...just have to get my head sorted out properly.
That will do me for now.

Take care everyone

I don't know you personally, mate, but it's good to have you back all the same. This forum has proven time and time again to sport some incredibly supportive and considerate members, who, like myself, can relate to your struggle.
Will look forward to seeing you around the forum.

Welcome back. Looking forward to seeing some of your input into the forum emoticon

As for the black dog, I'm pretty sure it's a female dog - if you know what I mean. emoticon

Re: Re:

I've met that dog.

It causes one to be locked in place, afraid to move.

I introduced that one to my own black dog - the 45kg pet who shares my house who insisted I get out more so that he could be properly socialised.

That starved the imaginary beast.

Even the slightest of daily achievements will starve the unwanted beast to death.
(I don't call it a dog as I'm very fond of dogs but dislike that beast)

Then life goes on, but this time it is enjoyable.

Anhedonism (lack of enjoyment of normal activities) is a known effect of the black beast.

Once you know what it is, then you are able to walk away from it. One step at a time.

Congratulations on taking the first step. Each and every next step will be easier than that which preceded it.

Like the old joke about a bloke who told his wife that she had to run 10 Km a day to lose weight and make him happy.

After only 1 month she was 310 Km away.

He was happy with the distance and she was happy with the weight emoticon
