A quick way of stopping IGO directions is press the menu button on the screen (right hand side of map screen, towards bottom), press the route button, then delete the route.

I was playing with the GPS yesterday afternoon while at a red set of lights and thats what I did and I haven't heard it since. I was hoping that it wasn't a fluke - thanks for the confirmation.

So what happens if you want to keep the destination? Do you just save it, and delete the route from recent?

Samuel

You can save the destination in your favourites, or use recent to look up your recently used destinations.

Another cool feature is recording a track, which you can export and then import into google maps etc. Its also handy when going off road as you can trace back your route.

Here is a link to the IGO user manual:

To answer a previous question, I believe the most current Australia map is R18 WhereIs map.

Cheers

Waiting for this to be delivered so I can go to FHRX and get it installed! emoticon

I'm going to go with a shark fin antenna upgrade for the DVB-T to get the best picture. For $320, I think it's a bargain. Don't mind that it's 6.2 inch screen instead of 7 inch because the buttons on the side make any aftermarket unit look more intergrated and factory fit - time will tell anyway emoticon

WHY is China sooo far away?? Hurry up Shenzen Post!!

Re: "Kitchen Sink" GPS/DVD & Multimedia Head units reviews & options

Hey crew

After researching on the interweb for a while to figure out which one i want, I have been emailing a factory in china regarding a kitchen sink. One thing that has popped up is the recomendation to turn the unit off before turning the car off!!!??? so far the factory will not explain why they recomend this. i am thinking it has something to do with the fact they use windows CE for the gps OS. anyone have any ideas? anyone who has one of these do you turn it off first and if not, have had any problems in this regard?

Thanks

If it is anything like the Chinese head unit I have in my T30, then I think turning the unit off before turning the car off is what will solve my problem loosing the pre-set radio station and I have to search for it all over again every-time I turn the ignition on emoticon

Haha that sux and is definitely a downfall of the unit, what unit do you have Jalal? the one i am looking at is one of the cheap chinese ones. i am fireing a heap of questions at the factory to make sure i know what im getting, i am not expecting a great deal from it but keeping the preset radio station is one feature that both myself and my wife will go a little crazy without.... any questions that you or anyone else thinks i should be asking?

Re:

I think mine is the Eonon or something like that, it doesn't have a GPS and paid only $200 bucks for it. Didn't ask any questions just knew that I will either have to throw it in the garbage after a while OR....sell the car with it. hahahaha emoticon
