Re:
Good stuff Ray, 135KW is definitely more like it, which basically means the chip is giving an additional 15KW on top of the Hi-Tech exhaust gain (8-9KW).

Re:
I guess the main difference between these eBay chips and the DPCHIP which has already proved itself with the T31 Diesel X-Trail by actual users of it is the following:
5 Year Product Warranty
30 day No Risk Money Back Guarantee
24/7 support hotline
Not many manufacturers can offer you money back guarantee and 5 years warranty.
What is it about the DPCHIP that you didn't like?

Re:
I too would choose the DP Chip, go with the proven brand, it might cost a little more but you do get what you pay for.

Re: T31 Diesel Performance Chip
Hi Guys
just happened across this thread and noticed a new post, and after reading through some of it, i thought I would offer an alternative, even though i do not have a diesel.
I recently bought one of these units for a mate who works for me ( a kind of bonus) . It ended up costing me just short of $700 delivered. ( he said the DP was well over a thousand) It was for a Toyota Hilux dual cab turbo diesel.
The service I received from these guys was very prompt, as was delivery ( about 10 days). My mate said it took him about 50 minutes to fit, but he was being very careful and meticulous. Then he went for a test drive, and it blew him away.
Just last week we found ourselves lined up at the lights, open road, ( I have the '05 132kW exy with a k&n) . I gunned it up the road, do you think I could get an inch on the automatic diesel Hilux ? Nup !
He loves this chip, and from what I read on the website, they offer excellent backup, albeit online or by phone. Take a look, it may be a good alternative.
(incidentally, this one you wire to a power feed, then it has a line of connectors, you unplug each injector, plug it into the relative female on the loom, and plug the male from the loom into the injector.)
THIS is the Website.

The diesel has much higher torque than your petrol exy T30, I don't think you would have kept up even with a T31 diesel without any chip
The Hilux Diesel Auto has 126KW of power and 343Nm of Torque and T31 Diesel Auto has 110KW of power and 320Nm of Torque. Your Petrol T30 exy has more power at 132KW, but it the torque is only about 226Nm. That's why you couldn't keep up

Re: T31 Diesel Performance Chip
Sure, I understand there are many factors relating to performance, but my point really, is simply that before the hilux conversion, my exy left the hilux easily, after the conversion, the cars are evenly matched from standstill to 'the legal maximum speed limit for that given road'.
The chip works, a lot, and also claims better fuel consumption on the recommended setting ( as it arrives). So if anybody is in the market for a performance enhancer, the chip express works, very well, and at a good price. A first hand experience is sometimes hard to come by.
Of course I do not know how much improvement it can offer to an x trail diesel, but they have those figures on the website, for any given car they have a chip for.
